Step E - Concluding Operations  

E1 - Reassemble vehicle  

 

•  If possible, perform step E2 before reassembling panelling.  

 

 

•  Fasten wiring harnesses at the original point using genuine parts, e.g. grooved pipes, wiring trough brackets, cable ties, clips etc. from the "Service" department.  

 

 

•  Reattach panelling and attaching parts.  

 

E2 - Carry out function check  

 

•  Connect battery.  

 

 

•  Carry out function test.  

 

 

  Ensure that the wiring harness repair was successful.  

 

E3 - Program volatile memories  

 

•  Reprogram volatile memories and enter code to reactivate audio equipment after completing all work.  

 

 

Step F - Environmental Protection  

F1 - Parts disposal  

 

•  Defective wiring harnesses, wiring harness plugs, etc. must be disposed of as specified by national regulations, provided that there is no obligation to return parts for warranty reasons.  

 

 

•  Keep superfluous spring-finger connectors with lead ends and other components for further repairs.
