Field Remedy: 2039

Remedy:

In case of customer complaint replace the auxiliary heater exhaust silencer by an auxiliary heater exhaust line.

Working procedure:

 1. Remove front panelling

    - see working procedure "Front Panelling - Remove and Install",
      group "A", Service Instruction Corsa-C/Combo-C.
      (Document-Number 00701562)

 2. Release retaining clamp (1) from auxiliary heater exhaust silencer
    (Picture I).

 3. Detach bracket for auxiliary heater exhaust silencer (2) from 
    auxiliary heater (Picture I)

    - remove nut

 4. Remove auxiliary heater exhaust silencer.

 5. Install clamping nut to subframe (Picture II, Arrows)
    - clip in 2x

 6. Remove 3x nut from heatshield (Picture III, Arrows).

 7. Shorten auxiliary heater exhaust line to 2,55m.

 8. Slide retaining clamp on auxiliary heater exhaust line.

 9. Install auxiliary heater exhaust line to auxiliary heater (Picture IV)

    - tighten screw of retaining clamp (1)

10. Position the auxiliary heater exhaust line (Picture IV)

    Important:
    Pay attention for distance between horn (2) and auxiliary heater 
    exhaust line (3)!

11. Slide 2x bracket on auxiliary heater exhaust line.

12. Tighten 2x bracket auxiliary heater exhaust line (1) with screw
    to front axle body (Picture V).

13. Slide 3x bracket on auxiliary heater exhaust line rear.

14. Tighten 3x bracket auxiliary heater exhaust line (2) with nut
    of heatshield (Picture V).

15. Install front panelling

    - see working procedure "Front Panelling - Remove and Install",
      group "A", Service Instruction Corsa-C/Combo-C.
