Brake Hose - Rear Axle, Left or Right, Remove and Install > < Brake Fluid

Brake Hose, Front Left or Right, Remove and Install

  Remove

1.   Remove front wheel
•   Mark position in relation to centre of wheel
•   Pull seal away from plenum chamber as far as necessary
•   Raise covering flap for brake master cylinder
2.   Detach closure cap (1) from brake fluid reservoir
•   Seal with MKM-558-10
3.   Remove brake line (2) from front brake hose and close off
Note:   The retaining clip remains on the brake line.
4.   Remove banjo bolt (3) of brake hose at brake calliper and remove brake hose

  Install

5.   Insert brake hose in bracket
Note:   Note guide lug on front brake hose and bracket
6.   Connect brake line (1) to front brake hose (3) using retaining clip (2) - tightening torque 16 Nm
7.   Connect brake hose without twisting using banjo bolt (4) and using new sealing rings - tightening torque 40 Nm
8.   Remove MKM-558-10 (5) from brake fluid reservoir
9.   Bleed brake system and check for leaks LUREF_1.gif
10.   Close brake fluid reservoir with closure cap
•   Close covering cap for brake fluid reservoir
•   Place seal on plenum chamber

11.   Fit front wheel - tightening torque 110 Nm
