Brake Shoes – Drum Brake, Check for Wear

Note:   Visual inspection of brake lining thickness is described in the following. Precise wear assessment is only possible once the brake drum is removed.

  Remove

1.   Remove plug (1) for inspection hole from brake anchor plate
Object Number: 2409828 Size: DEFAULT


2.   Check thickness of brake lining:
Note:   Permitted residual thickness (2) of lining without lining carrier: approx. 2 mm .

  Install

3.   Insert plug for inspection hole in brake anchor plate.
