Brake Servo, Remove and Install (LHD Vehicles)
Remove
1. |
Remove water deflector

2. |
Remove brake master cylinder
|
3. |
Remove brake lines (1) of brake master cylinder on hydraulic
modulator
|
4. |
Detach vacuum hose (2) from brake servo
• |
Thread through bulkhead and set aside
|
|
5. |
Remove retaining plate (3) from fastening bolt for brake servo
piston rod on brake pedal
• |
Remove fastening bolt (4)
|
|
6. |
Detach fastening nuts (arrows) for brake servo on cover plate
and pedal mounting
• |
Remove brake servo from plenum chamber
|
|
|
|
Install
7. |
Insert brake servo on cover plate in the plenum chamber with
new gasket and
• |
attach new fastening nuts to pedal mounting - tightening torque
20 Nm
Note: When inserting,
ensure that piston rod of brake servo is seated correctly in brake
pedal.

8. |
attach piston rod to brake pedal with fastening bolt (1)
• |
Secure with retaining plate (2)
|
|
9. |
Thread vacuum hose (3) through bulkhead and install at brake
servo.
|
10. |
Install brake master cylinder
|
|
|
11. |
Connect brake lines (1) to hydraulic modulator - tightening
torque 16 Nm
|
12. |
Bleed brake system and check for leaks
|
13. |
Correct brake fluid reservoir so that it reaches the "MAX"
mark
|
14. |
Install water deflector
|
|
|
