Vacuum Line – Brake Servo, Remove and
Install and / or Non-return Valve, Replace
Remove
1. |
Pull seal (1) away from plenum chamber as far as necessary

Raise covering flap (2) for brake master cylinder

2. |
Draw vacuum line out of brake servo with connector (3)
• |
Draw rubber grommet (4) out of bulkhead and thread vacuum line
through bulkhead
|

3. |
Unlatch quick-release fastening (5) for vacuum line from intake
manifold by pressing in the lock (arrows) and remove
Note: For vehicles with
petrol engine
|
4. |
Detach vacuum hose with connector (6) from vacuum pump on
alternator
Note: For vehicles with
diesel engine
|
|
|
5. |
Cut open vacuum line at the connections (1) and (3) and pull
out of connectors. Remove rubber grommet (2) for bulkhead
Note: Observe
installation position.

|
Install
6. |
Cut new vacuum line (rubber hose with textile inlay) to the
correct length

Push on rubber grommet
Note: Before fitting
the connector (3) for the brake servo
Note: Observe
installation position.

• |
Fit with new clamps and KM-J-22610
|
|
7. |
Attach vacuum hose (5) with connector (6) for vacuum pump with
new clamp and KM-J-22610 to non-return
valve
Note: For vehicles with
diesel engine
Note: During
installation, ensure that non-return valve arrow (4) points in
direction of intake manifold and vacuum pump.

8. |
Lay vacuum line, thread through bulkhead and press into brake
servo with connector (1)

Insert rubber grommet (2) in bulkhead
|

9. |
Plug quick-release fastening (3) of vacuum line on to connector
on intake manifold
Note: For vehicles with
petrol engine
|
10. |
Attach vacuum hose with connector (4) to vacuum pump on
alternator - tightening torque 18 Nm
Note: For vehicles with
diesel engine
|
11. |
Check connections for leaks
|
12. |
Check function of brake servo
|
13. |
Fold covering cap (6) of brake master cylinder downwards.
Install seal (5) of plenum tank.
