One Piston and/or Con-Rod, Replace
Remove
1. |
Remove piston with con-rod
|
Important: Do not damage piston
and con-rod. Use protective jaws.
|
2. |
Clamp piston (1) with con-rod (3) in vice
|
3. |
Remove 2x piston pin (2) retaining rings
|
4. |
Remove piston pin (4)

Push piston pin out of piston and con-rod by hand
|
|
|
|
Install
Important: When assembling the
piston and con-rod, note the cut-out in the piston (2) and the mark
(1) on the con-rod
|
5. |
Install piston pin
Note: Wet piston pin
with engine oil. Push piston pin into the piston by hand until the
con-rod can be inserted.

Place piston with pin on con-rod
|
• |
Push piston pin in until annular groove is freely
accessible.

6. |
Install 2x piston pin retaining rings
• |
Replace 2x retaining ring
|
• |
Insert 2x retaining ring in annular groove
Note: Note position of
the ring joint. Ring joint must be in the area of measurement I
(maximum 30°).

|
7. |
Adjust 3x piston ring
• |
Arrange joints offset by 120°
|
|
|
|
8. |
Remove piston with con-rod from vice
|
9. |
Install piston with con-rod
|
