Replace front crankshaft seal ring (Z 12 XE, Z 12
XEP, Z 14 XEP, with air conditioning, LHD)
 Remove

Remove ribbed V-belt cover

Remove ribbed V-belt
Note: Mark running
direction

Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner in direction of arrow with
KM-6131
|

Remove from crankshaft ribbed V-belt pulley
|
|
|
|
|
| 5. |
Detach crankshaft ribbed V-belt pulley (1)
| • |
Counterhold crankshaft hub bolt
|
|
| 6. |
Loosen crankshaft hub bolt
Note: Second person
required
| • |
Attach KM-956-1 KM-956-2 (3)
|
| • |
Counterhold with KM-956-1 KM-956-2
|
|
| 7. |
Detach crankshaft hub (2)
Note: Pay attention to
installation position
| • |
Remove with KM-956-1 KM-956-2
|
|
| 8. |
Remove front crankshaft seal ring
Note: Do not damage
sealing surface
| • |
Lever out timing case seal ring
|
|
|
Install
| 9. |
Clean sealing surfaces
| • |
Timing case, crankshaft hub
|
|
|
| 10. |
Install front crankshaft seal ring (1)
| • |
Coat sealing lips with silicon grease
|
| • |
Drive in until flush using KM-960
|
|
| 11. |
Attach crankshaft hub
| • |
Note crankshaft hub installation position
| – |
Marking must point upwards
|
|
|
| 12. |
Tighten crankshaft hub bolt
Note: Second person
required
| • |
Counterhold with KM-956-1 KM-956-2
|
| • |
Tighten bolt 150 Nm + 45°
|
| • |
Detach KM-956-1 KM-956-2
|
|
|
| 13. |
Attach crankshaft ribbed V-belt pulley
| • |
Tighten bolts 8 Nm
| – |
Counterhold at crankshaft hub bolt
|
|
|
| 14. |
Install ribbed V-belt
Note: Note running
direction
| • |
Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner with KM-6131
|
| • |
Release ribbed V-belt tensioner
|
|
| 15. |
Install ribbed V-belt cover
|
| 17. |
Check and correct engine oil level
|
|
