Subject: Engine Z10XEP, Z14XEP - Oxygen sensor failure, MIL illuminates
Models: Engines: Option:
Agila 2004,Corsa-C 2004 Z10XEP,Z10XEP| Z14XEP
Complaint: Several failure codes regarding post-cat oxygen sensor set (2nd. oxygene sensor P0141 (4+8), P0136 (1)). In some cases the pre-cat oxygen sensor is also defect (1st oxygene sensor - P0130 (1), P0135 (8)).
Cause: Water penetrates into engine wiring harness fuel injection causes corrosion on plug connection to oxygen sensors.
Production: Introduction of improved engine wiring harnesses fuel injection in production as of the following engine-No: 19DG0526 (17.05.2004).

Remedy:

In case of customer complaint replace the defective oxygen sensor and install a new engine wiring harness fuel injection (partno.: 24467266 / catalogueno.: 12 92 428 for Agila with engine Z10XEP and partno.: 24467265 / catalogueno.: 12 92 007 for Corsa-C with engine Z10XEP, for Corsa-C with engine Z14XEP use partno.: 24467263 / catalogueno.: 12 92 006).
