Drive Shaft and/or Ball Bearing, Replace (F

Note: Transmission
remains installed.
 Remove
|
| 1. |
Remove shift mechanism cover (1) 
|
| 2. |
Remove reversing lamp switch (2)
|
| 3. |
Remove end shield cover (3)
|
| 4. |
Remove end shield (4) from transmission
|
|
|
| 5. |
Remove drive shaft (1) with retaining ring (2) and ball bearing
(3)
|
| 6. |
Push ball bearing (4) from drive shaft (5) with KM-407-A (6)
Note: Note installation
position.

Install
|
Important: If gear cluster teeth
are damaged, always check the corresponding gear on the main shaft
and replace if necessary.

| 8. |
Push on ball bearing (3) with KM-311-2 (4)

Attach new retaining ring (1) to drive shaft (2)
|
|
| 9. |
Install drive shaft (7) with retaining ring (6) and ball
bearing (5)
|
|
|
| 10. |
Install end shield (1) in transmission
|
| 11. |
Install end shield cover (2) gasket
|
| 12. |
Install reversing lamp switch (4) with new seal ring
|
| 13. |
Install gearshift cover (3)
|
| 14. |
Check transmission fluid level
|
