Foreword
The New Technical Features MY 2004,5 publication contains
information about changes and new features that will be deployed as
of MY 2004,5.
The information that it contains will also be published in the
relevant workshop literature. New features and changes compared to
predecessor models will be taken into consideration in future
service instructions if they are important with regard to
maintenance and repair. Any differences between left-hand and
right-hand drive vehicles will also be described.
Since these New Technical Features are intended for worldwide
distribution, the "Engine, Built-On Engine Parts" section will also
include engines that are used in countries outside Europe. The
consumption values for these engines have been determined using
country-specific methods and are therefore not always listed
here.
Main focus of this New Technical Features publication
Standard and special equipment may differ because of market
and/or legal requirements in certain countries.
As of model year 2004,5 a "Technical ABC" will be available
in which terms and abbreviations will be explained. References to
the source documents for earlier New Technical Features and special
publications will also be given. The aim is to make it easier for
users to find information and navigate in TIS 2000. The "Technical
ABC" will be updated and extended during the scope of future "New
Technical Features".
Improvements that benefit customers and Opel/Vauxhall companies
have been emphasized from a Service point of view. These have
