Roof, Replace (Model L 08)
Important: Note
specification for welded, brazed and riveted joints  and body repair
with structural adhesive !
 Remove

Remove attaching parts
|
| 2. |
Protect top roof frame on right and left from paint damage
|
|
| 5. |
Detach front and rear roof frame adhesive
|
|
| 6. |
Remove roof
Note: 2nd person
required

| 7. |
Remove remaining adhesive from roof frame at front and rear
|
Install
| 8. |
Cut off transport lugs on new part
|
|
|
| 9. |
Adjust roof to fit
Note: Observe body
dimension chart.

| 10. |
Take out roof
Note: 2nd person
required
|
|
| 11. |
Apply corrosion protection adhesive system 93 160 535/15 05 000
to new roof part
|
|
|
| 12. |
Apply 1-component screen adhesive 93165025/1504815 to front (1)
and rear (2) roof frame
Note: Diameter of
adhesive bead (6 to 8) mm.

| 13. |
Adjust roof to fit
Note: Observe body
dimension chart.

| 15. |
Install tailgate hinge

Position 2x hinge on tailgate
|
| • |
Tighten 2x bolts on hinge
|
|
| 16. |
Seal body, weld and brazing seams
Note: Observe corrosion
protection measures for seam seals.

| 17. |
Seal cavity
Note: Observe
protective wax corrosion protection measures.
