Replace front panelling (from model year 2011.5) > < Replace reinforcement front panelling lower

Replace front panelling (model OPC / VXR)

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
Object Number: 10680778 Size: DEFAULT

2.   Release front panelling
•   Unscrew 4x bolt (1) at top front
•   Unscrew 2x bolt, outer left (2)
•   Unscrew 2x bolt (4) outer right
•   Unscrew 2x bolt (5) on front panelling reinforcement, bottom
•   Unscrew 3x bolts (6) on radiator crossmember
•   Unclip external temperature sensor from grille (3)
•   Separate wiring harness plug for right and left fog lamps

Important:   Danger of damage. Carefully disengage the front panelling from the guide rails. Press the side of the front panelling upwards in the guide rail area and at the same time pull it outwards (arrow).
3.   Remove front panelling
Note:   2nd person required
•   Unclip the front panelling from the right guide rail
•   Unclip the front panelling from the left guide rail

4.   Remove foam moulding
•   Undo 4x clips

5.   Remove centre air vent
•   Unclip 20x

6.   Remove fog lamps
•   Unscrew 2x bolt, fog lamp left (1)
•   Unscrew 2x bolt, fog lamp right

Object Number: 10680782 Size: DEFAULT

7.   Remove fog lamp panel
•   Unclip 4x panel fog lamp left (arrows)
•   Unclip 4x panel fog lamp right

8.   Remove lower part front panelling
•   Unclip 18x
•   Remove 2x body-bound rivet (arrows)

  Install

9.   Install lower part front panelling
•   Clip in 18x
•   Install 2x body-bound rivets
10.   Install fog lamp panel
•   Clip in 4x panel fog lamp left
•   Clip in 4x panel fog lamp right
11.   Install fog lamps
•   Tighten 2x bolt, fog lamp left
•   Tighten 2x bolt fog lamp right
12.   Install centre air vent
•   Clip in 20x
13.   Install foam moulding
•   Clip in 4x
14.   Put on front panelling
Note:   2nd person required
•   Clip the front panelling into the right guide rail
•   Clip the front panelling into the left guide rail
•   Connect wiring harness for fog lamps right and left
15.   Attach front panelling
•   Clip the external temperature sensor into the ventilation grille
•   Tighten 3x bolts on radiator crossmember
•   Tighten 2x bolt on front panelling reinforcement, bottom
•   Tighten 2x bolt outer right
•   Tighten 2x bolt, outer left
•   Tighten 4x bolt at top front
16.   Close bonnet
