Replace intelligent battery sensor (start/stop
system)
Remove
1. |
Disconnect wiring harness connector (3) from intelligent
battery sensor (2)

2. |
Undo terminal post nut (1)
|
|
|
|
3. |
Secure/counterhold the intelligent battery sensor (2) in
installed state using a suitable tool (5) (e.g. open-ended wrench
with SW 16) at points provided (1)
|
4. |
Remove nut (3) and ground cable (4) and set aside
|
5. |
Undo terminal post further, if necessary, and remove the
intelligent battery sensor
Note: Material
fractures or damage to the intelligent battery sensor and battery
can result if the work is carried out without a counterhold. If
necessary, get a second mechanic.

Install
|
6. |
Attach the intelligent battery sensor to battery negative
terminal and tighten terminal post to 4.5
Nm
|
7. |
Attach ground cable (4) to the intelligent battery sensor
|
9. |
Secure/counterhold the intelligent battery sensor (2) using a
suitable tool (5) (e.g. open-ended wrench with SW 16) at points
provided (1)
|
10. |
Tighten nut (3) to 11 Nm
Note: Material
fractures or damage to the intelligent battery sensor and battery
can result if the work is carried out without a counterhold. If
necessary, get a second mechanic.

Attach wiring harness connector (1) to the intelligent battery
sensor (2)

|
