Wheel Well and Front Frame, Replace Partially

(Cutting line in front of spring strut cap)

P & A stocks special economy parts in its range of products (wheel well without spring strut cap support; reduced frame and frame lock plate).

Remove

Separate frame and wheel well.

Observe direction of cut.

Install

Align welding flange.

Insert frame economy part using KM - 545 - 10 - see group E.

Weld frame and frame lock plate with full seam using shielded arc welding.

Important:

Observe directions for welding right frame

reinforcement on vehicles with C 14 SE, 1.6 ltr. and diesel engines.

A    Left frame (all models)

B    Right frame (all models except those with C 14 SE, 1.6 ltr. and diesel engines)

C    Lock plate (outer side of frame)

Note:

Right frame on models with C 14 SE, 1.6 ltr.

and diesel engines

Weld frame from engine compartment outwards.

Weld frame lock plate (economy part) offset 35 mm/1.38 in. to frame welding seam (looking from vehicle front to rear).

1     Frame

2     Reinforcement

3     Lock plate

Insert wheel well sheet metal.

Allow for overlap flange of 10 mm/0.39 in.

Weld part in (1).

Smooth visible welding seams in engine compartment.

Protect against corrosion.

Spray cavities in frame with protective wax.

Weld in attaching parts.

Observe reference dimensions of body dimension chart.
