Rear Spoiler, Service Install

Models 93, 94, 98, 99

Install

Drill holes according to pre-measured values in tailgate.

Outer - 10 mm/0.39 in. holes, inner - 5 mm/0.20 in. holes

Protect holes against corrosion.

Clean cement surfaces for spoiler on tailgate thoroughly.

Heat cement surfaces on tailgate with hot air fan.

Remove cement backing from spoiler adhesive tape.

Attach spoiler to tailgate with 4 seals and threaded bolts.

Illustration shows rear spoiler up to MY '90.

As of MY '91 the rear spoiler has the same bolting diagram.

The side strips are no longer present.

2     Seal

3     Self-tapping nut

4     Tailgate

Important:    Cement spoiler at a temperature of approx. 20 °C/68 °F.

Below this temperature cement may not hold.

If necessary, damaged spoiler adhesive tapes can be replaced by new parts.
