Hinge of Tailgate, Replace

 

Remove

 

Remove pneumatic spring.

Remove hinge pin.

Partially loosen roof insulation.

 

1     Hinge pin

2     Retaining ring

3     Hinge pin collar, faces centre of car

 

Ensure that tailgate does not fall down.

Loosen vehicle roof lining up to hinge.

Unscrew hinge from roof frame with offset screwdriver.

 

1     Roof plate

2     Roof insulation

3     Vehicle roof lining

Install

 

In reverse order.

 

Slightly lubricate hinge pin with high pressure grease.

 

 

1     Flat-head screw

2     Plate

3     Roof frame plate

4     Seal

5     Hinge

6     Hinge pin (collar faces car centre)

7     Retaining ring
