Hinges for Rear Quarter Window (Swing-out Type), Replace

Models 91, 92, 93, 94

The swing-out type window has two cemented metal hinges and a knee-action lock which is screwed in place.

The Parts Range includes the swing-out type rear quarter window, with cemented hinges, however, without any further

attaching parts.

Remove

Remove rear quarter window - see corresponding operation.

Install

Thoroughly clean cementing surface of window and hinge - glass cleaner.

Determine cementing area on window pane exactly.

Grind cementing surface on window and hinges with medium grain grindstone.

Wear safety goggles.

Sufficient roughening of the cementing surface is absolutely necessary.

Illustration shows grinding on window.

Thoroughly clean surface with alcohol after grinding.

Cement hinges with 2-component metal cement.

Observe instructions for use.

Mix only as much cement as is necessary for cementing.

Fix hinges on window pane free of tension - masking tape.

Heat up cemented area with a lamp or stand heater.

The rear quarter window is ready to install after cooling to room temperature.

If the cement is not hardened with additional heat, the window can be installed after 24 hours.
