Instrument Panel, Remove and Install as of MY '91
Remove
Disconnect battery.
Remove storage compartments from footwell.
Remove centre console.
Remove lower fastening bott of instrument panel.

Remove glove compartment (6 bolts) and remove wiring plugs 1
and 2.
|
|
|
Pull out horn switch, fold back locking plate, unbolt
fastening bolt and pull off steering wheel with
KM - 210 - A.
Remove steering column panelling.
Remove turn signal lamp and windscreen wiper switch.

|
|
Remove cover of instrument housing.
Remove headlamp switch, unbolt headlamp switch covering and
pull cable plug from switches.
Remove wiring plug from loudspeakers.
|
|
|
Unbolt ashtray cover and pull off wiring plug.
Remove radio and radio housing.
|
|
|
Remove hazard warning lamps switch.
Pull out clock and wiring plug.
Remove fresh air nozzle - driver's side.
Unbolt fresh air nozzle cover and pull off wiring plug.

|
Unbolt instrument housing. Release wiring plug and
speedometer cable and remove.
Arrows show fastening bolts of instrument housing when
instrument panel is assembled.

|
Unlatch fan switch and pull off.
Pull off rotary switch from heating and ventilation
regulators and unbolt coverings.
|
|
|
Unbolt lateral fastening bolts of instrument panel.
|
|
|
Remove upper fastening bolts.
Pull instrument panel forwards and remove.
Remove loudspeakers, centre connecting housing, and thermo
nozzles from instrument panel.

|
|
Install
Attach thermo nozzles, centre connecting housing and
loudspeakers to instrument panel.
Push instrument panel onto bracket, in doing this, check for
proper positioning of wiring harnesses, of heating control unit and of air
flow guides.
Bolt instrument panel to the 7 attachment points.
Attach covers, rotating switch and fan switch to heating
control unit.

Install instrument housing, wiring plug and speedometer
cable.
Mount wiring plug and fresh air nozzle cover.
Connect and install clock, hazard warning lamps switch and
fresh air nozzle.
Install radio housing and radio.
Connect wiring plug and bolt to ashtray cover.

|
Connect loudspeakers.
Connect wiring plug to switch cover and install switch
cover, headlamp switch and instrument housing cover.
Connect tail signal lamp and windscreen wiper switch.
Mount steering column panelling.
Mount steering wheel - use new locking plate.
Mount horn switch.

Connect wiring plug and install glove compartment.
Install centre console and storage compartments in footwell.
Connect battery.
