Seat Belt with Automatic Retractor for Rear Seat,
Service Install
Models 93, 94, 98, 99
In the following, installation for Models 93, 94 is
described.
Differences which may apply to Models 98, 99 are mentioned
in the descriptions.
If a lap belt is to be installed for the centre of the seat,
bolt it to the inner mounts of the seat belts with automatic retractors.

Loosen rear quarter trim panel.
Bolt automatic retractor vertically to rear quarter panel with
hex bolt (19 mm/0.75 in. long) - detent pin in opening.
Cut hole in side luggage compartment cover for belt passage.

|
Guide belt with mounts through luggage compartment cover.
Insert belt guide into rear quarter panel.
|
|
Bolt deflector mounting to rear quarter panel.
On Models 93, 94 cut out the panelling (synthetic leather)
at shown position.
On Models 98, 99, remove plug from side panelling with Cap
Remover KM - 569.
1 Spacer sleeve
2 Damping ring
3 Deflector mounting
4 Hex bolt (35 mm/1.38 in. long)
Observe prescribed torque.

Stick on cover cap and belt guide.
|
|
Attach one lower belt mount to wheel well with a hex bolt
(19 mm/0.75 in. long) and the other mount in centre of floor panel
with a hex bolt 24 mm/0.95 in. long.
Remove plug for this.
Observe prescribed torque.
For lap belt, arrange more acutely angled mounting plate
"A" on top.

On Models 91, 92, drill or punch 2 mounting holes
7.5 mm/0.29 in.
diameter in rear quarter trim panel for belt bracket.
If necessary, partially loosen trim panel.
On Models 98, 99 the seat belt bracket is factory-installed
(mounting, rear quarter panelling).

Stick belt bracket (opening toward the front of the car),
onto rear quarter trim panel.
Refasten trim panel.
