Idle Speed and CO Content, Adjust

Preconditions:

Correct engine functioning - valves, valve timing.

Oil temperature >80 °C/176 °F.

Correct functioning of injection system.

Intake system leak-free.

Clean air cleaner installed.

Correct intake air pre-heating.

Correct accelerator actuation.

Electrical consumers switched off.

Hose for crankcase ventilation removed and closed off to air cleaner.

Preconditions:

Tachometer and CO-tester connected.

Adjustment screw (3) must not touch stepped plate (4).

Adjust idle speed at throttle valve stop screw (1).

If necessary, correct CO content at mixture adjusting screw (C 0212/2).

If this adjustment is not possible, see "Trouble-shooting Chart".

After adjustment, attach lead seal.
