Thermostat, Replace
(Version: rear toothed belt cover partly encased).
Place sump pan underneath, remove lower coolant hose, drain and collect coolant.
Remove top coolant hose from thermostat housing and radiator.
Remove cover of toothed belt.
(Unscrew thermostat housing.
Remove thermostat.
Clean sealing surfaces.
Insert thermostat with new seal.
In doing so, note recesses in cylinder head.
Torque:
Thermostat housing to cylinder head - 10 Nm/7 lbf. ft.
Install toothed belt cover and coolant hoses.
Top up cooling system and bleed - see corresponding operation.
