Water Pump, Remove and Install

Detach upper and lower radiator hoses, as well as heater hose from water pump. Collect escaping coolant.

Loosen bolts of water pump pulley.

Loosen retaining strap of alternator and remove belt.

Remove pulley from water pump.

Unbolt water pump from cylinder head.

Clean sealing surfaces.

In case of water pump replacement install new thermostat.

Hold gasket in position with a little grease.

Bolt on water pump - 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft.

Install pulley. Mount and tighten V-belt.

Attach upper and lower radiator hoses, as well as heater hose to water pump.

Top up cooling system and bleed.
