Engine Damping Blocks, Replace

Engine Damping Block Right, Replace

Disconnect battery.

Remove fuel filter from bracket and lay aside.

Remove vacuum pressure line bracket and alternator cable from upper toothed belt cover.

Place Engine Lifter KM - 263 - B in position and attach a chain to the centre lifting lug.

Raise ergine slightly.

Remove engine damping block from bracket on body.

Remove engine damping block on right from bracket on engine suspension.

Lower engine carefully until damping block can be removed.

Remove damping block and replace.

Note:

To give a clearer picture, illustration shows damping block where engine has been removed.

Raise engine with Engine Lifter KM - 263 - B.

In this position guide the threaded bolt (1) of the engine damping block into the bore (2).

Fasten engine suspension to engine damping block.

Use new nuts.

Raise engine and transmission.

Fasten front left damping block to bracket on body.

Tighten damping blocks keeping them free of tension.

Torques:

Engine damping block right to side member: 65 Nm/48 lbf. ft.

Engine suspension bracket right to engine damping block: 45 Nm/33.2 lbf. ft.

Engine damping block left to body bracket: 65 Nm/48 lbf. ft.

Detach Engine Lifter KM - 263 - B.

Install upper toothed belt cover.

Install alternator (with vacuum pump).

See corresponding operation.

Fasten vacuum pressure line bracket and alternator cable to upper toothed belt cover.

Install fuel filter in bracket.

Reconnect battery.
