Upper Idle Speed, Check and Adjust
The engine speed is read at the V-belt with the engine at
operating temperature using a photo-electric cell type tachometer.
A 1 to 2 cm / 0.4 to 0.8 in. wide piece of
aluminium foil should be attached to the front collar of the crankshaft
pulley.
Start engine and check cut-off speed with tachometer.
Cut-off speed (max. no load engine speed)
15 D = 5600 - 5800
15 DT = 5400 - 5600
To prevent engine damage do not set too high.
