Valve Clearance, Check
Check valve clearance on running engine at operating
temperature (approx. 80 °C / 176 °F for coolant and
60° C / 140 °F for oil) with a 0.25 mm / 0.010
in. feeler gauge for exhaust valves and 0.15 mm / .006
in. feeler gauge for intake valves. The feeler gauge should move
stiffly between rocker arm and end of valve stem.

If valve clearance is not correct, adjust it by loosening or
tightening the rocker arm nut.
The oil ejected by the rocker arm can be diverted by placing
a piece of cardboard
(approx. 40 x 320 mm / 1.6 x 12.6 in.)
between the sealing surface of the valve cover and tappet push rods.
