Oil Cooler Thermos , Replace
Remove air intake hose from air filter housing and from
resonance canister.
Remove crankcase vent from valve cover.
Loosen hose clamp from intake pipe at air filter housing and
at intake pipe and remove hose completely.

Unbolt charge air pipe from air filter housing.
|
|
Remove both retainers (for intake pipe and charge air pipe)
from cylinder head.
Pull oil dipstick guide tube out of cylinder block.

Unbolt air intake pipe from holder on charge air pipe.
|
|
Loosen hose clamp from charge air pipe at turbo and remove
charge air pipe from engine compartment.
|
|
Remove coolant hoses between oil cooler and thermostat
housing or connection at cylinder head completely.
Coolant escapes.
|
|
Unbolt connecting piece from cylinder block.
|
|
Prise thermostat out of connecting piece with screwdriver.
Before installing new thermostat, clean sealing surfaces on
connection and cylinder block.
Fit new gasket into connection.
|
|
Drive new thermostat carefully into connection until firmly
seated.
Use correctly sized pipe to avoid damage.
|
|
Bolt connection with new gasket onto cylinder head.
Prescribed torque: 30 Nm/22 lbf. ft.
Fit coolant hoses and tighten hose clamps.

|
Press oil dipstick guide tube with new seal ring into
cylinder block.
Bolt charge air pipe with new seal onto air cleaner housing.
Tighten hose clamp at turbocharger.
Bolt on holder at cylinder head and intake pipe holder.
Install hose between intake pipe and air cleaner housing and
connect crankcase ventilation.
Check coolant level and correct if necessary.
