Activated Carbon Canister for Evaporation Control System, Replace (C 14 SE, C 16 SE)

Remove

The activated carbon canister is located in the left front wheel housing.

Loosen nut (1) and fold back retaining strap.

Remove activated carbon canister from bracket.

Remove hose connections from activated carbon canister.

Close off connections on activated carbon canister (closure plugs).

Install

Remove closure plugs from activated carbon canister.

Secure hoses to activated carbon canister.

1     =     Connection to fuel tank

2     =     Connection to tank vent valve

3     =     Ventilation

Secure activated carbon canister with retaining strap.
