Contamination of engine components with fuel
causes different defects. |
| Cause: |
Working on the open fuel system e.g.
replacement of fuel filter element or parts of the fuel
system. |

Remedy:
When working on the open fuel system ensure that escaping fuel gets
collected in suitable containers. Please make sure that engine and
vehicle components e.g. starter does not come into contact with
escaping fuel.
Note: Escaping fuel must be disposed immediately and soiled components
shall be cleaned.
