Front Door Window Actuation, Replace

(electric drive)

Remove

Remove inner door panelling.

Remove water vapour barrier from door frame.

Half open window.

Remove wiring harness plug from motor.

Unscrew actuation from window rails.

Push window upwards and secure in door shaft.

Drill off heads of jack mounting rivets. (Drill Æ 8.5 mm/0.33 in.).

Important:

Do not drill through door panel.

Remove window winder through mounting opening in door frame.

Knock remnants of rivet heads out of door frame.

Install

Insert window actuation and rivet to door frame.

Fix and tension window actuation using Pliers (90 113 917 - 17 56 565). Mount window actuation with seven steel rivets 4.8 x 11 mm/0.12 x 0.43 in. and commercially available rivet pliers.

Bolt window rails to actuation hand tight.

Align window and tighten window rails.

Note:

The actuation cable is delivered adjusted and greased.

Cable can be loosened/tightened by turning actuation through 90° using plastic adjuster (X).

Tighten cable - reposition actuation with retaining groove on holder.
