Body Repair
Due to modifications in construction and new production
procedures - including new welding processes - and methods, some of
the procedures for body repair operations have been altered relative to the
procedures for the Omega - A / Carlton.
Front member
On replacement of the front member, some points away from
the original positions must be welded in the towing lug area (right front
frame only).
I Remove front member:
- Drill off angled bracket between front member and
front frame.
II Install front member (illus. E 6816):
- Maintain welding seam lengths
- Position 1 = spot welding only
- Position 2 = 55 mm / 2.16 in welding

- Position 3 = 2 x 20 mm / 0.79 in.

- Position 4 = 15 mm / 0.59 in. welding
