·   Remove inside mirror

·   Release 12-pin wiring harness connection for inside mirror and separate

·   Ignition ON

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage in 12-pin wiring harness coupling between Ter. 4 and Ter. 5

 

approx. 5 V

 

·   Interruption or short circuit to ground in body wiring harness between 12-pin wiring harness coupling and control unit K103

·   Short circuit to battery voltage in body wiring harness between 12-pin wiring harness coupling and control unit K103

 

 

·   Ignition OFF

·   Using multimeter, measure resistance in 12-pin wiring harness coupling between Ter. 7 and ground

 

higher than 200 kW

·   Short circuit to ground in body wiring harness

 

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage in 12-pin wiring harness coupling between Ter. 7 and ground

 

lower than 0.5 V

·   Short circuit to battery voltage in body wiring harness

 

·   Using multimeter, measure resistance in 12-pin wiring harness plug for inside mirror

·   Remove driver's seat

·   Release 26-pin wiring harness plug from control unit and disconnect

·   Using multimeter, measure resistance between 26-pin wiring harness plug Ter. 8 and 12-pin wiring harness coupling Ter. 7 (inside mirror connection)

·   Interruption in body wiring harness between 26-pin wiring harness plug for control unit and 12-pin wiring harness coupling (inside mirror connection)

 

 

Further possible faults:

 

 

·   Inside mirror defective
