Note:

The value displayed alters constantly within the specified range depending on the programmed end stops. The rear part of the seat moves up and down.

If the motor is already at one of the two end stops, the motor will only move again (i.e. the TECH 1 display will only change again) when the above rocker switch is pressed in the other direction.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The potentiometer and motor M72.2 for the seat rear height are connected to control unit K103 by a 5-pin plug with the designation "rear height". The potentiometer is wired with the three plug terminals designated (x) and the motor is wired with the two plug terminals designated (y).

 

Notes on Trouble-shooting:

(If nominal value is not attained)

 

·   Ignition OFF, disconnect battery negative terminal

·   Remove driver's seat

·   Release 5-pin plug "rear height" and disconnect from control unit K103

·   Using multimeter, measure resistance in 5-pin plug between Ter. 3 (x) and Ter. 1 (x)

 

approx. 10 kW

 

·   Potentiometer for motor M72.2 "rear height" defective (resistance path interruption)

·   Lead interruption between 5-pin plug Ter. 3 (x) and Ter. 1 (x) and potentiometer for M72.2

·   Lead short circuit between 5-pin plug Ter. 3 (x) and Ter. 1 (x) to potentiometer for M72.2

 

 

·   Using multimeter, measure resistance in 5-pin plug between Ter. 2 (x) and Ter. 3 (x)

between 1 kW and 10 kW, depending on "seat height, rear"

·   Lead interruption between 5-pin plug Ter. 2 (x) and slider connection for potentiometer of M72.2

·   Potentiometer for M72.2 defective (slider has no contact)

·   Lead short circuit between 5-pin plug Ter. 3 (x) and Ter. 2 (x) to potentiometer of M72.2
