REAR HEIGHT CIRCUIT

The potentiometers for the
motors are monitored as follows:
· Potentiometer voltage (slider lead)
higher than approx. 4.7 V (circuit interruption or short circuit to
voltage)
· Potentiometer voltage (slider lead)
lower than approx. 0.1 V (short circuit to ground)
· The voltages of the slider leads are read
in and evaluated every 20 ms
Effect:
· Automatic adjustment is blocked for the
motor with the faulty potentiometer
· If the fault occurs in the
potentiometers for seat front and/ or rear height, manual adjustment is also
blocked for the corresponding motors
· The adjustment speed of the affected
motor is not monitored, i.e. blocking of the affected motor is not recognised
· The end stops for the affected motor
are not monitored, i.e. the affected motor is not switched off when it
reaches its programmed end stop
· The position of the affected motor is
not stored.
The motor adjustment speed is
monitored as follows:
· The speed of the motors is monitored to
protect them against overloading and blocking and to prevent them running in
the wrong direction;
The
direction-dependent change in the potentiometer voltage for each operating
motor is measured and evaluated every second
· The above test is carried out during
motor adjustment
Effect:
The affected motor is blocked
for the current adjustment cycle (manual or automatic adjustment) until the
relevant key is released again
