The potentiometers of the motors
are monitored as follows:
· Potentiometer
voltage (contact line) greater than approx. 4.7 V
(circuit interruption or short
circuit to voltage)
· Potentiometer
voltage (contact line) less than approx. 0.1 V
(short circuit to ground)
· The
voltages of the contact lines are read and evaluated every 20 ms
Effects:
· The
automatic adjuster for the motor with the faulty potentiometer is blocked
· If
the fault occurs in the potentiometers for front and / or rear seat
height, both corresponding motors are blocked for manual adjustment as well
· If
the fault occurs in the vertical potentiometer of the right outside mirror,
the parking aid mode is blocked
· The
final stop of the affected motor is not monitored, i. e. the affected motor
is not switched off when the programmed final stop is reached
· The
position of the affected motor is not stored
The adjusting speed of the
motors is monitored as follows:
· The
adjusting speed is monitored to protect the motor against overload, blocking
or wrong operating direction;
The direction - dependent
change in the potentiometer voltage of each running motor is measured and
evaluated per second
· The
above test is performed during adjustment of a motor
Effect:
The affected motor is blocked
for the current adjustment cycle (manual or automatic adjustment) until the
relevant button is released again
