Voltage supply for electric seat adjustment for short circuit to ground in driver's or co- driver's seat

Plug, 2- pin/ Ter. 1 (RT/ red)

Ground

·   Disconnect battery negative terminal

·   Release wiring harness connection for voltage supply of electric seat adjustment at relevant front seat and disconnect from body wiring harness

·   Measurement at 2-pin wiring harness plug Ter. 1 (RT/red) to ground

·   Seat adjustment switch in "rest" position

·   Actuate seat adjustment switch in all possible directions

Possible Fault:

(If nominal value is not attained)

1.  Short circuit to ground in lead connection between 2-pin wiring harness plug Ter. 1 (RT/red) and seat adjustment switch or anti-submarining switch (when switch is in "rest" position)

2.  Short circuit to ground between seat adjustment switch and the motors (when switch is actuated)

3.  Seat adjustment switch has short circuit to ground
