General:
For
the replacement of the pulse-welded handle used in production the Parts &
Accessories Dept. offers as a Service solution a handle set and spring nuts.
Procedure:
Open
tailgate and fold up load compartment floor.
Lay
cloth over spare wheel and floor (protection against shavings).

Remove, Detach:
Pre-punch
the sprayed pins of the handle with an awl and drill off ( 5 mm/0.197 in.
drill).
Remove
plastic ring and handle.

|
Install, Attach:
Position handle from above and plastic ring from
below (ribbing visible -1-).
Important:
Incorrect installation of the plastic ring leads to
malfunctioning.
Attach
5 spring nuts and press on with commercially available T-handle (9 mm/0.354
in.).
