Production Solution:

Remedy:

Seal passages in bulkhead and add insolation.

Measurement for noise insulation, front bulkhead.

1     -      Water deflector with additional insulation:

       Cat. /Part No. 51 04 191 /(90 526 993)

Replace installed water deflector with the new water deflector with insulation.

2     -      -Foam strip for sealing between instrument panel and windscreen:

       Cat. /Part No 90 01 897 /(90 540 034)

Press foam strip (3 x 25 x 100 mm) quickly between instrument panel and windscreen with suitable tool. The foam strip is compressed and will expand to 15 mm after installation, so it will effectively seal this area.

3     -      Insulation fender, rear, A-pillar right and left:

       left: Cat. /Part No. 62 38 851 /(90 492 829)

Remove fender inner panel and replace existing insulation with new insulation. On the left side remove the insulation of cooling fan because it's integrated with the new insulation.

Ensure the seal tightness of all seals and grommets in the front bulkhead. Seal the steering column to bulkhead from inside of the vehicle with windshield adhesive (PU-adhesive).
