·    Service

Each rear wheel speed sensor is fastened on the right or left of the differential with a retainer block and does not require adjustment. When correctly installed, there is a reference gap between the pulse pick - up on the drive shaft (sensor gear) and the wheel speed sensor of 0.5 to 1.5 mm/0.02 to 0.06 in.

If the left or right wheel speed sensor or the lead between the sensors and the control unit is defective, the ABS telltale illuminates and a trouble code is stored in the control unit.

In case of a malfunction, the control unit switches the anti - lock function oft. The brake system continues to operate conventionally to allow the vehicle to reach the nearest authorized Opel/Vauxhall workshop.
