Visco-fan, Remove and Install

 Remove
Remove charge air pipe – see operation "Charge Air Pipe,
Remove and Install".
Remove lower engine compartment cover.
Unclip coolant hose (2) from fan shroud (1).
Remove left and right fastening clamps (3) for fan shroud.
Counterhold at coolant pump V-belt pulley with KM-821 (5).
Remove visco-fan (6) with KM-820 (4) (left-handed thread) and take
out upwards with fan shroud.
Caution
Store visco-fan in upright position only.

Install
Insert visco-fan and fan shroud from above.
Attach visco-fan to coolant pump V-belt pulley (left-handed
thread) – tightening torque 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft. –
counterhold with KM-821.
Attach left and right fastening clamps for air shroud.
Clip coolant hose into fan shroud.
Install lower engine compartment cover - tightening torque 5 Nm
/ 3.7 lbf. ft.
Install charge air pipe – see operation "Charge Air Pipe,
Remove and Install".
