Thermostat, Remove and Install

Note: For warranty
reasons, thermostat is only supplied complete with coolant outlet
connection.
 Remove
Open coolant drain bolt on radiator – collect coolant.
Detach upper coolant hose (2) from coolant outlet port. Remove
coolant outlet port (1) with thermostat from thermostat
housing.
 Clean
Clean sealing surface and remove sealant remnants.

Install
Attach new coolant outlet port with thermostat and new gasket to
thermostat housing – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft.
Attach upper coolant hose to coolant outlet port. Close coolant
drain bolt on radiator. Top up cooling system – see operation
"Cooling System, Top Up and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for
Leaks".
