Hub – Torsional Vibration Damper, Remove and Install

  Remove

Remove torsional vibration damper – see operation "Torsional Vibration Damper, Remove and Install".

Fasten Counterhold KM-819 (2) to hub of torsional vibration damper (1) with fastening bolts from torsional vibration damper and support on suitable point (if necessary apply pipe extension).

Remove torsional vibration damper hub attachment screw.

Remove Counterhold KM-819 with hub of torsional vibration damper.

Note:   Before installing torsional vibration damper hub, check that disc spring (4) is in perfect condition.

  Install

Align torsional vibration damper (1) gap (2) and disc spring (4). Shoulder (3) of torsional vibration damper hub should point away from timing case.

Attach Counterhold KM-819 to torsional vibration damper hub using attachment screws from torsional vibration damper and support on suitable bearing surface (use pipe extension if necessary).

Install torsional damper hub with new fastening bolt at crankshaft – tightening torque – 100 Nm / 74 lbf. ft. + 90° + 60°.

Install torsional vibration damper – see operation "Torsional Vibration Damper, Remove and Install".
