In vehicles with manual transmission: remove flywheel – see operation "Flywheel, Remove and Install".

In vehicles with automatic transmission: Remove drive plate – see operation "Drive Plate, Remove and Install".

Remove oil pan – see operation "Oil Pan, Remove and Install".

Remove rear end plate (6 attachment screws).

Push oil seal out of rear end plate.

  Install

Push oil seal into rear end plate with KM-817 (1) and KM-235-1 (2) until it rests against it.

Place KM-818 (1) on camshaft. Coat sealing lip of seal ring with silicone grease (white).

Inset rear end plate oil seal.

Rear end plate to cylinder block (M6) – tightening torque 10 Nm / 7.5 lbf. ft. Rear end plate to cylinder block (M8) – tightening torque 23 Nm / 17 lbf. ft.

Note:   Note fit bushing.

  Install

Install oil pan – see operation "Oil Pan, Remove and Install".

In vehicles with manual transmission: Install flywheel – see operation "Flywheel, remove and install".

In vehicles with automatic transmission: Install drive plate – see operation "Drive Plate, Remove and Install".
