Air Cleaner Housing, Remove and Install
 Remove

Remove lower engine compartment cover.
Remove intake manifold support from intake manifold and oil
filter housing.
Mark oil supply (1) and return lines (2) and remove. Collect
escaping oil.
Disconnect wiring harness connector (3) from oil pressure
switch.
Remove oil filter housing fastening nuts (4 nuts) from cylinder
block. Remove oil filter housing. Collect escaping engine oil.
 Clean
Remove gasket remnants and clean sealing surfaces.

Install
Attach oil filter housing and new oil seal to cylinder block
– tightening torque 23 Nm / 17 lbf. ft.
Attach oil supply and return lines and new oil seals to oil
filter housing.
Connect wiring harness plug to oil pressure switch.
Attach intake manifold support to intake manifold and oil filter
housing – tightening torque 22 Nm / 16 lbf. ft.
Install lower engine compartment cover - tightening torque 5 Nm
/ 3.7 lbf. ft.
Inspect
Start engine and allow to run until oil pressure telltale goes
off. Turn engine off, check engine oil level, correct if
necessary.
