Exhaust Manifold, Remove and Install > < Cylinder Head Cover, Remove and Install

Intake Manifold, Remove and Install

  Remove

Remove charge air pipe – see operation "Charge Air Pipe, Remove and Install".

Remove screen wiper motor – see operation "Screen Wiper Motor, Front Screen, Remove and Install" in group "N".

Remove exhaust gas recirculation metal pipe (8) from exhaust gas recirculation valve (7) (2 fastening bolts).

Disconnect vacuum hose (6) (black/blue) from exhaust gas recirculation valve.

Release fastening bolts (4) and (5) from support (3) of intake manifold/oil filter housing.

Detach hose (1) from charge pressure sensor (2).

  Remove

Release fastening bolt (4) and remove fuel line bracket (3) from intake manifold (2).

For 25 DT: Detach wiring harness plug (5) from charge air temperature sensor (6).

Remove 12 fastening nuts and remove intake manifold – do not damage attaching parts and fuel lines.

Note:   When replacing intake manifold: Transfer closure bolt (X 25 DT) / charge air temperature sensor (25 DT) and exhaust gas recirculation valve (1).

  Clean

Remove seal residue, clean sealing surface.

  Install

Insert new seals.

Attach intake manifold to cylinder head with new fastening nuts – tightening torque 23 Nm / 17 lbf. ft.

For 25 DT: Connect wiring harness plug to charge air temperature sensor.

Attach fuel line holder – tightening torque 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.

Connect hose to charge pressure sensor.

Tighten fastening bolts for support of intake manifold / oil filter housing – tightening torque 22 Nm / 16 lbf. ft.

Connect vacuum hose (black/blue) to exhaust gas recirculation valve.

Connect exhaust gas recirculation metal pipe to exhaust gas recirculation valve – tightening torque 22 Nm / 16 lbf. ft.

Install windscreen wiper motor – see operation "Windscreen Wiper, Front, Remove and Install" in group "N".

Install charge air pipe – see operation "Charge Air Pipe, Remove and Install".
