 Remove
Remove oil pump – see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and
Install". Remove oil pressure regulating valve (1) and safety valve
(2). Remove spring and piston of oil pressure regulating valve and
safety valve from oil pump using bar magnet. Remove oil pump cover
(3) from oil pump.
Check oil pressure regulating valve (1), safety valve (2) and
oil pump cover (3) for signs of wear. Check indentation of gear
pair with feeler gauge and straight edge.
Dimension:
Inner rotor max. 0.08 mm.
Outer rotor max. 0.10 mm.
Install
Install oil pressure regulating valve and safety valve in new
oil pump with new seal ring. Install oil pump cover on oil pump
– tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft. Install oil pump
– see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and Install".
