Oil Temperature, Measure

Check engine oil level and correct if necessary.

  Remove

Remove oil dipstick.

  Install

Insert Probe MKM-596-A into oil dipstick guide tube until approx. 1 cm above bottom of oil pan. Seal opening of oil dipstick guide tube with rubber plug (1).

Note:   The oil temperature is dependent on the engine load. High ambient temperatures and engine loads can cause oil temperatures of up to approx. 150 °C/302 °F.

  Remove

Probe MKM-596-A.

  Install

Insert oil dipstick into oil dipstick guide tube.
