Checking with TECH 1
The following section lists only those data list parameters that are required for the cruise control function of the Digital Diesel Electronics DDE 2.1. If there is a malfunction in the DDE 2.1, trouble-shooting must be carried out as specified in the "Digital Diesel Electronics DDE 2.1" system Checking Procedures.
Note: If the control unit has switched to emergency operation, various data list parameters may lie outside the prescribed tolerances. In this case however, a trouble code has been stored; the emergency operation values can be found in the relevant trouble code description.
After completing diagnosis, delete any existing trouble codes and carry out the quick check F0: Data List (headings) with TECH 1 listed at the start of the diagnosis table again, to check that the fault has really been eliminated.
If trouble-shooting specifies that voltage should be set to a terminal of the control unit or to a wiring harness plug connected to the control unit, ensure that the correct terminal is used, as otherwise the control unit may be damaged.
