Notes on Trouble - shooting:

Nominal Value:

Cause of Fault

·   Engine OFF, ignition ON

·   Disconnect intake manifold temperature sensor plug P 29

less than - 35° C / - 31° F,

greater than 4.9 V

·   Short circuit between signal and ground leads in wiring harness

·   Control unit K 61 defective

·   Short - circuit both contacts in temperature sensor plug

greater than 180° C / 356° F,

less than 0.1 V

·   Lead interruption from

     -    control unit K 61 / Ter. 44 to temperature sensor P 29

     -    control unit K 61 / Ter. 30 to temperature sensor P 29

·   Temperature sensor P 29 defective

·   Control unit K 61 defectiv

Test values for intake manifold temperature sensor:

15 to 30° C / 59 to 86° F: 1450 to 3300 W
