·   Ignition ON (exhaust gas recirculation valve in zero position)

·   Voltage of position sensor higher than 50 % of reference voltage from control unit (zero point offset)

or

·   Engine running at idle speed, operating temperature

·   Regulation deviation of position sensor actual value from nominal value larger than 19.9 % for 60 s

Replacement values:

The control unit retards the firing angle by up to

X 25 XE: 12° CA

X 30 XE: 6° CA

for safety reasons.

The value varies depending on the engine speed.

Effects:

The knock control is blocked.
